First you need to get started with the overall effort :

• Go to the how to help page : https://www.distributed.net/howto.html (dead link)
• Once there click on the "proper client" link : https://www.distributed.net/cgi/select.cgi (dead link)
• Then Install the Client and be sure to use the "Network", "Update" menu option after your first block is done.  That will insure you are in the stats for the next cycle, the cycle is at 00:00 UTC, and individual stats are posted by around 03:00 UTC.

Then you need to get your password :

• Once your stats are up, then you can join the team, it isn't very hard
• Look up your stats on https://stats.distributed.net/rc5-64/(text is the old URL, clicking takes you to the new URL) by putting the email address you used in the client in to the box under "Participant Stats" and them clicking the "Search" button next to that box, then a brief stats page will display. Then you want to click on your email address under the "Participant" column heading
• Once you are viewing your own stats, click on the link at the bottom of the page that starts out "I cannot remember my password" and the stats server will email you your password shortly
• With your password available, you need to go to our team page at https://stats.distributed.net/rc5-64/tmsummary.php3?team=13756(text is the old URL, clicking takes you to the new URL) and click on the "I want to join this team!" link at the bottom of the page. It will ask for your username ( the email address you used in the client ) and your password ( the one they sent you, enter those and then click on the "OK" button, and you should be presented with an acknowledgement that you have joined "Team #!Safehaven"
• Just let me know when you get set up and have joined Team #!Safehaven so that I can add you to the team stats list on this site...
